TruequeGo / 2025 – Present / Marketplace · Full-Stack

Don't lose your money. Recover it.

A second-hand marketplace for non-refundable train tickets in Spain. Sell the seat you won't use, help someone else travel cheaper — I designed and built the whole product, and it's live.

TruequeGo homepage with the headline 'No pierdas tu dinero, recupéralo' and a search bar for trains, buses, planes and hotels

The homepage: one search bar to find a second-hand ticket for any high-speed route in Spain.

A ticket you can't use is just money thrown away.

Plans change. Most high-speed train tickets in Spain are cheap precisely because they're non-refundable — Ouigo, Avlo and the lowest Renfe and Iryo fares give you nothing back if you can't travel. Meanwhile, someone else is paying full price for the exact same seat on the exact same train. The value is right there; there's just no safe way to pass it from one traveller to the other.

One traveller's wasted seat is another's cheaper trip.

A trusted marketplace between the two.

TruequeGo lets anyone list a ticket they won't use in minutes, and lets buyers find a verified seat on their route for less. The hard part isn't the listing — it's trust. Most of the product is the machinery that makes a stranger-to-stranger ticket sale feel safe on both sides.

Search & discover

Enter origin, destination and date to see every available ticket from other travellers, sorted by price.

Publish in minutes

Upload the route, time, operator and the PDF or photo. Listing is completely free for the seller.

Protected payments

Stripe-powered checkout holds the buyer's money in escrow until the trip is confirmed.

Refund guarantee

If the ticket doesn't work, the buyer gets the full amount back. No risk on either side.

Moderation

A moderation team reviews every ticket before it goes live, so listings are real and valid.

Reputation & reviews

Buyers rate sellers after each sale, so you can check a seller's track record before you buy.

Automatic delivery

The moment a payment clears, the ticket is sent to the buyer automatically — the seller does nothing.

Legal price cap

Resale is enforced at or below the original price, keeping every sale within Spanish law.

Find a verified seat on your route for less.

Search a route and date and TruequeGo shows every available ticket from other travellers, ordered by price, each with its operator, times, class and the discount versus the original fare. Pay securely, and the ticket arrives by email the moment checkout completes.

Every ticket, sorted by price Operator, departure and arrival times, class and the saving versus the original fare, all on the card.
Pay protected Checkout runs on Stripe, the same payments tech behind Spotify and Amazon. Money is held until the trip is confirmed.
Delivered automatically The ticket is emailed instantly after payment, with name-change instructions when an operator requires one.

Live listings: real tickets from Renfe, Ouigo, Iryo and Avlo, each priced below its original fare.

Turn a wasted ticket back into money.

Listing is free and takes a couple of minutes: add the route, date and operator, attach the PDF or a photo, and share the link on WhatsApp, Instagram or Twitter to reach more buyers. When someone buys, the ticket is delivered for you — and once the trip is verified, the money lands in your account.

Free to list Publishing a ticket costs the seller nothing. The buyer pays a small €2.50 fee that funds the platform and the refund guarantee.
Hands-off sale Once it sells, delivery is automatic. There's nothing more to do but get paid.
Paid after the trip The held funds are released to you once the journey is confirmed — typically a few days after the travel date.

Built so a stranger-to-stranger sale feels safe.

A marketplace only works if both sides trust it. The buyer's money sits in escrow until the journey is confirmed; if the ticket fails, they're refunded in full. Every listing is human-reviewed before going live, sellers carry public reputations, and prices are capped at the original fare so every sale stays legal in Spain.
